Dear Resident, Perry Barr Neighbourhood update – 01/07/2026 until 24/07/2026 Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Perry Barr area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents, especially around domestic abuse, robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support. 🛑 Crime Updates Burglary unconnected building (shed) Beeches Avenue – Between 1pm on 12/07/2026 and 9am on 13/07/2026, offenders have gained access to a shed by unknown means. Once inside offenders have stolen a bee keepers suit.

Vehicle Crime Wensleydale Road - Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 12:15am on 01/07/2026 and 12:15pm on 04/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Land Rover Evoque. Offenders have gained entry to vehicle through the passenger side front door. Wallet stolen.Walsall Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 4:55pm and 11:22pm on 05/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Honda vehicle. Offenders have gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. Stanford Avenue – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 4:30pm on 03/07/2026 and 8am on 06/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Renault CR Scenic. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. Items stolen purse containing bank cards, driving license, CD’s and car documents. Tame Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 11am and 11:17am on 08/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall Corsa. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. Queslett Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – Between 1:01am and 1:02am on 10/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Volkswagen Golf. Offenders tried to gain access to vehicle by trying all door handles. No entry gained. Pendragon Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 12pm and 1pm on 17/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall Astra. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. Items stolen.Duxford Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – Between 10pm on 21/07/2026 and 7:30am on 22/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall Mokka. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by opening front nearside door. Offenders have searched glovebox. No items stolen. ➡️ Key-less entry theft remains a concern. Please use Faraday pouches, remove visible items, and consider physical deterrents like steering wheel locks. Other Crime Types Theft of Pedal Cycle: Walsall Road – Between 9:30pm and 10:50pm on 02/07/2026, persons unknown approached a locked and parked Black Royal Pro-electric Bike worth approx. £700. Offenders cut lock and stole bike. Team Highlights 06/07/2026 – ASB Awareness Week Police Crime Prevention Surgery at One Stop Shopping Centre. 14/07/2026 – Officers speaking to Businesses at One Stop about Operation Makesafe. Operation Makesafe is a national campaign to raise awareness of child exploitation in the business industry. 15/07/2026 – Proactive Patrols around Arena Academy. A new Perry Barr retail crime team started in June. Officers from the team arrested three prolific shoplifters. One individual was arrested for four offences. One individual was arrested for three offences. Boh have been to court and remanded. The third individual has been arrested and investigations are still on-going. Numerous vehicle have been seized for no insurance or no tax over the month. Several tickets have been issued for pavement parking.
